ACT volunteers help raise awareness of our charity, in our community and hospitals, they support us to do more in our offices and they play an important part in making Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie Hospitals even better.
“I was treated at Addenbrooke’s for cancer in 2015-16. When my treatment was over, I wanted to say thank you by volunteering in some way to repay the kindness I had been shown.
By volunteering I get the satisfaction of doing a little to help the hospital. I meet some lovely people amongst the staff and volunteers of ACT and have fun helping out at events in the community. It is also great chatting to members of the public, hearing their stories and promoting the hospital.
Addenbrooke’s is an excellent hospital, but resources are finite and there is always a need to provide more for the patients, staff and visitors. That’s where ACT can help. Volunteers know that they are working for a great cause, and that their contribution can make a difference.”
