Over the years, several members of our team have experienced first-hand the outstanding care and compassion provided by Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Julia Brooks, our much-loved former Director, worked at Addenbrooke’s for over two decades as a matron, leading a large nursing team with dedication and pride. In later years, she was cared for by the hospital’s cancer services before her passing – strengthening our connection to this incredible charity.
The connection continues today. Creative Director, Sarah Kralj’s daughter, Cerys, was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and owes her life to the care she received from Addenbrooke’s—before birth, during delivery, and in the critical months and years that have followed. Our Managing Director, Sharon Grocott, is also Cerys’s aunt and shares a deep sense of gratitude.
Meanwhile, our Marketing Services Director, Jane Wallington’s teenage daughter, Ruby, is under the ongoing care of Addenbrooke’s neurosurgeons after being diagnosed with a pineal cyst and chronic migraines. Their ongoing support has been a source of immense reassurance to Jane and her family.
These stories are just a few examples of the life-changing work done at Addenbrooke’s. That’s why we’re committed to giving back and supporting ACT.
