ACT holds individual charitable funds for many of the departments in the hospital. Each fund has at least two Fund Advisors who endorse applications before they are considered by ACT. Your divisional management team should be able to let you know whether there’s a fund for your department, who the relevant Fund Advisors are and how you can get your application endorsed by Fund Advisors.
How do I apply?
You can apply for funding from an ACT charitable fund through the ACT Funding Portal.
Is there an application deadline?
There is no deadline. You can submit an application for funding from an ACT charitable fund at any time.
When will I find out whether my application has been successful?
- If your application is under £10,000 it will be considered by ACT’s Funding Review Group, which meets weekly. You can expect to hear back from us within 2 weeks.
- If your application is ÂŁ10,000 or more it will be reviewed by the Patient Advisory Committee (PAC), which meets four times each year. You can find the PAC meeting dates on our Grants webpage.
Can I still apply even if ACT doesn’t hold a charitable fund for my department, or if the balance of a fund is too low?
Yes, you do not need a departmental charitable fund, or a sufficient fund balance, to apply for ACT funding! Please apply anyway or contact us at fundsandgrants@act4addenbrookes.org.uk, as we may still be able to help.
