C4B Media is proud to be an official Corporate Partner of Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT). Our support for the charity is about far more than business—it’s deeply personal.
Over the years, several members of our team have experienced the outstanding care and compassion provided by Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
Our much-loved former Director, Julia Brooks, dedicated more than 20 years to Addenbrooke’s as a Matron, leading a large nursing team with passion and commitment. In later years, Julia herself received exceptional care from the hospital’s cancer services before her passing, further strengthening our connection to this incredible organisation.
Creative Director Sarah Kralj’s daughter, Cerys, was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and owes her life to the specialist care she received at Addenbrooke’s before birth, during delivery and throughout her childhood. Our Managing Director, Sharon Grocott, is also Cerys’s aunt, making our support for ACT especially close to home.
Our Marketing Services Director, Jane Wallington’s daughter, Ruby, continues to receive expert care from Addenbrooke’s neurosurgical team following her diagnosis with a pineal cyst and chronic migraines. Their ongoing support has been invaluable to Jane and her family.
Trekking the Great Wall of China
In May 2026, our partnership with ACT reached new heights when Sharon Grocott, together with colleagues Christine and Peter, took on the incredible challenge of trekking the Great Wall of China in support of the Cambridge Children’s Hospital Appeal.
Over five days, the team tackled steep climbs, ancient pathways and breathtaking scenery, while raising vital funds and awareness for ACT. The experience was challenging, inspiring and a powerful reminder of the difference fundraising can make to children and families who rely on Addenbrooke’s.
The trek was about much more than reaching the finish line—it strengthened our commitment to supporting ACT and helping create a world-class Cambridge Children’s Hospital and Cancer Research Hospital for future generations.
Whether through fundraising, volunteering, creative campaigns or sharing the stories that matter, we are incredibly proud to play our part in supporting ACT and the life-changing work they do every day.
