Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust

Working and Volunteering at ACT

Would you like to join an exciting charity supporting your local hospitals, Addenbrooke's and the Rosie? Can you offer at least one day a week/fortnight? Do you have knowledge and skills to share or are you keen to learn new skills? If the answer is yes, we would love to hear from you.

Reception Volunteer

Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) is dedicated to supporting innovation in patient care across Cambridge University Hospitals. This role puts you at the heart of Fundraising Hub at Addenbrooke's Hospital where you will be the first point of contact at the charity for supporters, visitors and colleagues. You will play a key role in creating a great first impression; ensuring that visitors are warmly greeted, and initial enquiries are well managed.

You’ll be part of a friendly and innovative team, but you also get the chance to meet people across Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals.

What we can offer you:

  • The opportunity to support your local hospital by working with our fundraising/administrative teams
  • An exciting and fast-paced working environment with our friendly and engaged staff
  • An opportunity to share your skills
  • An opportunity to learn new skills and gain invaluable experience should you wish to return to paid employment, or want to use your free time in a meaningful and rewarding way.

Our office is open Monday-Friday between 9.00-17.00. Contact us today to find out more.
