Horizon Discovery roll up their sleeves for Addenbrooke’s

Friday, July 14, 2017

Staff from the translational genomics company Horizon Discovery made the most of the opportunity to roll up their sleeves recently to embark on a one-day gardening project at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

The team, made up individuals from different areas of the business, worked tirelessly to restore the current Rosie Garden to its former glory making it more accessible and inviting to patients, visitors and staff to enjoy every day.

The company, who have chosen Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) as their charity of the year, have undertaken a variety of fundraising activities this year including the infamous London to Cambridge cycle ride on 2 July.

Carla Brown, Strategic Partnership Manager at ACT said, ‘It is always fantastic to welcome businesses to the Trust so they can see the direct impact their support has on patients and staff.  Employees from Horizon Discovery have been particularly committed with fundraising over recent months and I was delighted to welcome them to the site to offer this opportunity to challenge themselves away from their day jobs!’
