Pearls prize winner is tickled pink
Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) is pleased to announce the winner of the Pink Rose Dinner 2007 raffle prize. Guests to Pink Rose Dinners in 2007 were offered the chance to buy raffle tickets in the hope of winning a special pink prize in aid of the Cambridge Breast Unit.
The raffle contributed £1,545 to an amazing total of over £65,000 raised from the Pink Rose Dinner campaign for 2007.
The lucky winner, Debbie Tweedie, won a stunning pearl and pink sapphire necklace kindly donated by Cellini in Cambridge. Debbie is pictured far right being presented the necklace by Jo Elliott from ACT.
Debbie said: "The necklace is lovely and such a surprise."
Kate Dominy, Pink Rose Dinner Co-ordinator, said: “Congratulations to Debbie on her win, and many thanks to Cellini for their generous donation. Thank you also to all those who hosted or attended Pink Rose Dinners in 2007; the money raised is most gratefully received and this year it will go towards a state-of-the-art portable ultrasound scanner for the new Breast Cancer Research Unit at Addenbrooke’s.”
Keep an eye out this summer for information about the Pink Rose Dinner campaign 2008, when ACT hopes to raise even more money for Breast Cancer Services at Addenbrooke’s.
