Raising money for the Gynae Oncology Department
In recognition of the dedication, commitment and help of all the staff at the Gynae Oncology Department at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Arlene Mitchell, Mandy Spicer and Patsy Todd took part in the JP Morgan Chase Battersea Park 3.5mile walk on 10th July 2008, to raise vital funds. Please sponsor us so that we can help others to continue to benefit from the excellent standard of care and compassion; helping those who may need to rely on these services and require the same level of care and support to face their treatment. Money raised will to go towards a new piece of equipment called Oncentra Brachy – a tool used for planning brachytherapy (a type of treatment for patients with cervical cancer). The new equipment will enable staff to respond effectively to the need to deliver higher-quality treatments to more patients in less time. We will be the first hospital in the UK to use this piece of equipment. |
