About ACT
What we do
Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT) is the independent registered charity for Cambridge University Hospitals, which includes Addenbrooke's and the Rosie Hospitals. Registered charity number: 1048868.
ACT's objective is to support and promote the work of the hospitals for the benefit of patients and staff, by raising extra funds to enhance services, facilities and research.
ACT manages the charitable funds in an effective way and aims to invest and disburse money successfully, ensuring that funds are used for the purposes for which they are raised.
Charitable donations have contributed to funds in most departments. The money has been used to buy new, high-tech equipment, pay for additional staff, contribute to environmental enhancements and has gone towards research to help improve the understanding of conditions and find possible cures.
