Walking the Backs for Ward D5

A team of staff from the Cardiology Practice Development Unit based on Ward D5 completed a sponsored walk along the Cambridge Backs to raise funds for re-accreditation as a Practice Development Unit (PDU), which will cost about £5000.

A PDU is set up for the development of practice, to advance the effectiveness of healthcare services and seek excellence in clinical practice. To be accredited the unit has to demonstrate teamwork and its collaboration between nurses and other health professionals, encouraging the sharing of best practice and learning from each other.

When re-accredited the unit will be the only practice development unit at Addenbrooke's.
